Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what information Vote to Review ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to operate the Service.
1. Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive:
- Your email address
- Your name and Google profile picture (if available)
When you use the Service, we store:
- Products you suggest, linked to your email
- Votes you cast, linked to your email
We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do not set marketing cookies. The only cookie used is a session cookie required to keep you signed in.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Authenticate you when you sign in
- Display your suggestions and count your votes
- Enforce one vote per user per item
- Moderate submissions and prevent abuse
3. Service providers
The following processors handle data on our behalf:
- Google — authentication (OAuth). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosting, edge functions, and request logs. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
- Neon — Postgres database hosting. See Neon's Privacy Policy.
4. Public content
Approved product suggestions and their vote counts are publicly visible. Your email address is not displayed publicly alongside your suggestions or votes.
5. Data retention
We retain your account-linked data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your votes and suggestions within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your rights
You may request to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data

7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service.
